Today we learned about the Pledge of Allegience. Students were very interested in learning about the meaning of the the pledge, as well as what the different parts of our flag were. We talked about the 13 original colonies, and how they became the beginning of the United States. We looked at the U.S. map to find out where they were located and why new states were added later on.
